1. What is Personal Best?
A Level 1 pre-employment training programme in Preparation for Event Volunteering linked to the London 2012 Games. Personal Best in the East Midlands is currently funded until the end of 2010 and will support 302 people.
2. What is it all about?
Personal Best is a national programme. It is a level 1 qualification of 120 guided learning hours, including a volunteering at local sporting, cultural or community organisations or events, which can act as a stepping stone to new work opportunities. On successful completion of the programme, participants could have the chance to become a Games Time Volunteer (GTV) at the London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games.
