Volunteers Will Have To Cover For Public Service Cuts

The excellent volunteering website http://www.ivolunteer.org.uk features the results of a survey of volunteers and volunteer managers that shows that 86% of them fully expect that we in volunteer-involving organisations will have to play an increased role plugging gaps in public services facing cuts, whichever party wins the election.

You can see the full text of the report on the i-volunteer website at

While you’re looking at this report, why not sign up to i-volunteer and join one of the best online volunteering communities and resources around. It’s not for nothing that i-volunteer is being described as the “Facebook of Volunteering”.

We’d be interested to hear what you think about this issue. Contact us here at the Volunteer Centre South Derbyshire with your opinion, or better still, leave a comment here on the blog.
