Trustee Opportunities at One East Midlands

As part of our campaign to help organisations recruit and support trustees and management committee members, we will post any trustee opportunities that we know about here on the blog. Here is an opportunity from One East Midlands.

One East Midlands currently has four trustee vacancies available on our board. As a full member this is an opportunity for you to get involved in shaping the future work and direction of One EM.

One EM welcomes board nominations which reflect the diversity of the region. Two of the trustee vacancies are BME designated, so nominations from BME led organisations to help steer our BME work are encouraged.

To enable the effectiveness of One EM in the future we seek applicants who can exercise independent judgement and think creatively, with skills in the following areas:

  • Accounting / financial management
  • Charity and company law
  • Governance
  • Risk management
  • HR management

This is an exciting opportunity to enable you to have real influence for the sector at regional and national level.

The board role description is attached, which gives more information about the requirements of the role. Please complete the attached nomination form if you are interested in becoming a trustee. There are currently four vacancies so if we receive more nominations a vote will be required.

The closing date for nominations is Tuesday 16th November at 5pm.

To find out more you can visit our website www.oneeastmidlands.org.uk or contact Rachel Quinn, Chief Executive, on 0115 934 8471.
