Youth of Hatton are calling for your nominations for their 2010 Community Awards.
The awards are for people who have a made a difference to life in the village of Hatton, South Derbyshire. (see it on Google Maps)
The 2010 Awards will be presented at a ceremony which takes place on Friday 11th February 2011. Youth of Hatton have chosen to present this event after Christmas to have a little bit more time to organise.
Please send your nominations for the following categories to the above details by post or e-mail by Sunday 17th January 2011.
- Outstanding Community Contribution Award – for dedication to make Hatton a brighter community. For involvement and encouragement with other groups in the village. For the vision of a better future that can be had for all residents and community members
- Community Fundraiser Award – for efforts reached in raising funds for charities, therefore helping to enrich & improve the lives of others who for whatever reason are less fortunate than others
- Community Achiever Award – for overcoming the odds and continually showing anything is possible if you try
- Community Youth Worker – could be a teacher or group leader (school, nursery, church, brownies, sport group ect) who spends time to reach into the spirit of young people and help bring their potential to the core
- Community Neighbour & Friend – for any person that you know who will always be there or lends a hand, someone you know you can count on
- Community Business Award – could be the friendliest, cleanest or most helpful. Makes you glad to be part of the workforce. Maybe strives to help the community out in any way.
- Community Sportsperson Award – for any type of sport and for any person within that sport – coach, captain, manager or player – anyone who has done well or overcome obstacles to participate
- Community Young Person Award – for any young person who has done well, strived to help others or overcome challenges of any sort

If you are interested in visiting Africa on a Volunteer program, for heaven’s sake do not go any where near “Dr” Peter Mc Hendry or Global Adventures, Christian ski or any other companies run by “Dr” Peter McHendry – have a look at what he did to this poor chap!

Peter McHendry is a fraudster who has been deported from Zambia for breeching labour laws (not paying his poor village staff) and failing to register any sort of business interest in Zambia, he does not legally own any land there, only the President of Zambia can grant a lease in Zambia, most of his deceptions are based on owning things he quite clearly cannot and does not!
The Police in South Africa are looking for McHendry in regards to Insurance Fraud and conning investors into his failed Global Bio Diesel and Akula Trading 227 PTY Companies.
This man is very dangerous and is believed to have several personality disorders, such as Jerusalem syndrome, his wife and other girls have complained of violent behaviour and at nearly 60 “Dr” Peter McHendry has an unhealthy interest in young vulnerable women and strippers as the Lonely Planet article shows.

The Lonely Planet confirms that “Dr” Peter McHendry had not paid his staff for at least two months when the volunteers’ had paid over $2500 US each to live in a tent with no food!

He steals from poor African Villagers and may have molested several village children which is why a deportation order was issued by the Zambian government and why the South African Police are looking for him!

South African Police are looking for investors into a franchise scam run by Dr Peter McHendry in 2008 under the name “Global Bio Diesel” A company which does not exist!
